While I'm not aware of cam / lobe problems w any batch JWT cams, that has nothing to do w. the disscussion here. We are talking about cam to CAS misalignment. From JIM @ JWT:
This post has a lot of confusing info that isnt true, there is and always has been an inherent design flaw in the way Nissan hung the CAS out over the end of the exhaust cam. Second, it does not matter what cam is running in the engine stock or otherwise, if the CAS bracket is not exactly concentric to the camshaft, it will wear out, causing the ignition timing to wander with some unpredictable and possibly dangerous results. Unfortunately Nissan will not sell you a drive spline when it wears out, JWT makes them out of chrome-alloy for their cams, and also makes them available whether you have a stock cam or theirs. They explain all of this in an article in their tech section. [ http://www.jimwolftechnology.com/wolfpdf/VG30DETT_CAS_COUPLING_MISALIGNMENT.pdf ] This is not a flaw with the cams, just a misaligned CAS bracket causing a bind on the coupling to the cam, which will continue to wear out CAS drives and crank angle sensors as fast as you can feed them to the engine, fix the problem, realign the CAS bracket.
